Roof Cleaning Victoria Terms Of Service
By requesting our services you are agreeing to the following:
1. Legally Binding Agreement
By accepting an estimate with Roof Cleaning Victoria you are entering into a legally binding contract for work to be completed at an agreed upon price. In the event that you break this contract, any and all deposits made to the company shall be surrendered as damages. If inadequate notice of service cancellation is provided, cancellation fees may apply (see 9. Cancellations).
2. Water Usage
By entering into this agreement, you agree to provide Roof Cleaning Victoria the right to use an on-site water supply, as needed to complete the described work, without compensation for water consumption, hoses used, or wear and tear of faucets, hoses, or fixtures. If an exterior water supply is required additional charges may apply. It is the customer's responsibility to make sure the water supply is on and working before Roof Cleaning Victoria service staff arrive. If water supply is unavailable, additional charges may apply. Not all work requires access to water supply. Talk to your sales/office representative for more details.
4. Electrical Usage

If an exterior source is required additional charges may apply. Not all work requires access to water supply. Talk to your sales/office representative for more details.
5. Pets, Children, & Safety
By entering into this agreement you agree to release Roof Cleaning Victoria and it's agents from all responsibility for the safety of pets, children, residents, and others while on site. While Roof Cleaning Victoria is on your property you are responsible for keeping all children, pets, and other individuals, clear and away from the work area. Children and pets must also be kept away from all work surfaces for at least 24 hours after our work is complete. These requirements are for your safety as well as our own.
7. Payments

Any variance to this policy must be agreed upon and in writing in our quote or contract. Late charges will be immediately assessed on all balances not paid in accordance with quote or contract terms. The customer agrees to pay any collection cost incurred by Roof Cleaning Victoria related to the collection process of outstanding balances.
8. Scheduling
Scheduling for a business in which productivity relies upon the weather can be difficult. Inclement weather may affect your service schedule. We try our best to keep scheduling conflicts to a minimum, however circumstances that are beyond our control may affect your project start and/or completion date(s). We commit to attempt to notify you of any changes in schedule as they arise.
9. Cancellations
While we respect a homeowner's decision to cancel services before they have commenced, all cancellations must be done with no less than 24h advance notice to the scheduled date of your service. Cancellations with less than 24h notice will be subject to 25% of the total quoted amount. Just as with service invoices, cancellation charges are due upon receipt. While we hate to charge customers for work we didn't do, when we cancel scheduled job with no notice it affects the livelihood of our workers.
10. Courtesy - Moving Property & Cars
i. It is the responsibility of the home owner to ensure any vehicles, valuables, grills, deck furniture, planters, or any other items, are moved prior to our arrival. Should we need to remove items from the deck, we will not be responsible for damage, breakage, or storage issues. At the discretion of Roof Cleaning Victoria, an additional charge may be applied for the time and labor devoted to the removal of these items.
ii. While we do our best to leave the property clean afterwards, your home will get dirty from moss and debris as a result of moss removal. Siding, house, or window cleaning is not included in your quoted or contracted services unless otherwise stated in the quote or contract. We do provide these services but at an additional fee.
11. Our Process
i. Soft Wash, Brush and Chemical Cleaning Method
You acknowledge that once moss has grown onto your roof that the moss has placed roots into your shingle. You acknowledge that it is better to remove the moss than leave it on the roof.
Roof Cleaning Victoria uses the brush and chemical cleaning method to clean roofs. We also will use a medium pressure soft wash whereby we will apply water to your roof. We do our best to minimize any damage to the roof and use the most gentle method we know of to kill the moss. As such you understand and assume there are risks and waive and release Roof Cleaning Victoria from and against any and all claims. Our cleaning method will test the strength, construction, and integrity of the surface being cleaned. Roof Cleaning Victoria is not responsible for pre-existing damage caused by moss, mold, mildew, lichen, or algae.
ii. Roof Anchors
To ensure the safety of our workers, and to be in accordance with WorkSafe BC rules and regulations, workers who work at heights greater than 3 meters must practice fall arrest safety guidelines. This includes the use of roof anchors to secure safety lines and ropes. Roof anchors are installed using 6d nails or deck screws (6 per leg into the rafters) which are removed upon completion of the job and holes are filled using a caulking or plastic roofing cement. You acknowledge that you are aware of and approve Roof Cleaning Victoria's use roof anchors on your roof. By requesting our services you are releasing Roof Cleaning Victoria and all its agents from liability of long term damage from installing roof anchors.
12. Requesting, Clicking, Agreeing, and Submitting
By requesting our services, agreeing to a quote or contract, submitting a form, or verbally requesting or agreeing to services, you agree to waive and release Roof Cleaning Victoria and its agents, from and against all claims, cost liabilities, expenses, or judgments, including attorney fees and court costs arising from Roof Cleaning Victoria services at the address/property identified or provided by you, and hereby agree to fully indemnify and hold harmless Roof Cleaning Victoria from and against any and all claims.
You understand and agree that by requesting our services you are freeing Roof Cleaning Victoria and its agents from any liability resulting from Roof Cleaning Victoria services. You understand that the presence/combination of water, brushing/scrubbing tools, and use of safety equipment and ladders while cleaning roofs, gutters, siding, etc., with or without chemical agents, presents certain risks which can lead to permanent damage(s) to the structures as well as other personal property in, under, on, or around the general area of the surface(s) being cleaned.
